Why pledge?
MassChallenge is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. We don’t require any equity from startups and founders while providing access to the vital resources, intentional partnerships, and global community you need to grow at no cost. The MC Pledge allows you to publicly declare your intention to support MassChallenge and our mission while keeping your finances flexible for where you are in the startup lifecycle.

How does it work?
Sign the pledge form today, and when the time is right for you—typically after a liquidity event that allows you to fulfill your pledge—our team will help arrange your gift to MassChallenge. 

When is the best time to pledge? 
The best time to pledge is now! When you pledge now you ensure you receive all special invites and communications exclusive to MC Champions, and you help us add momentum to our cause! That said, you can sign up anytime that’s right for you!

Is there a minimum dollar amount for the MC Pledge? 
No. Every gift to MassChallenge is valued and provides entrepreneurs with access to the resources and networks they need to build their businesses. Your future gift should be at an amount meaningful to you and in recognition of your entrepreneurial journey and your philanthropic goals.

Do I need board approval?
No, you do not need board approval. The MC Pledge is a personal, non-legally binding promise made by you individually. A future donation would be funded by you personally. As a result, your commitment will not be on any capitalization table.

What are the tax ramifications?
There is no tax ramifications associated with making the MC Pledge. Tax considerations come into play when you make your gift, just as with any charitable contribution. All gifts to MassChallenge are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

What can I do to support MassChallenge in the meantime?
There are so many ways to get involved at MassChallenge!
