At MassChallenge, we want to make it abundantly clear that we stand in solidarity with the Black community and its allies, and against police brutality and the ongoing marginalization and oppression of communities of color.

Innovation has always been about disrupting the status quo – and the status quo of systemic racism in the United States needs to change. We ask you, as a member of our global innovation community, to not only donate to the organizations below, but to also make a long-term commitment to driving change within your own organizations.

Resilient Coders

A 2015 MassChallenge alum, Resilient Coders trains people of color for high growth careers as software engineers and connects them with jobs. Potential, not pedigree, should be the sole determining factor in a young adult’s access to an automation-resilient career, and the economic stability that comes with it.

Black Lives Matter - Boston

Black Lives Matter Boston remains committed to being active in the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) and its broad mission platform. BLM Boston centers work against racist policing and police violence, abolishing mass incarceration, economic disparities  and factors that allow the school to prison pipeline to exist. BLM - Boston’s mission is to organize and build Black power in Boston and across the country. Some examples of this is to galvanize our communities to end state-sanctioned violence against Black people. To support the development of new Black leaders, as well as create a network where Black people feel empowered to determine our destinies in our communities.
