Bridge to MassChallenge Australia is a national startup competition that identifies and accelerates the top startups in Australia, and connects those startups to the global market and MassChallenge's global network.

Who are we?

Through Bridge to MassChallenge Australia, MassChallenge has teamed up with The Government of South Australia and Microsoft to support the best Australian startups in scaling their businesses.

Who can participate?

We look for entrepreneurs who want to take their businesses to the next level. We accept applications for early-stage startups across all industries that:

  • Are based in Australia
  • Have raised less than $500K in equity-based funding, generated less than $1M in revenue in the last 12 months
  • Applications will be accepted from local, national and global startups. There is no fee to participate in the Bridge to MassChallenge Australia and no equity taken

This year, Microsoft is providing scholarships for up to five Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-founded startups to participate in the Adelaide MassChallenge boot camp!

When is the program?

  • October 26: Applications open, apply here!
  • November 8: Applications close
  • December 4-7: Boot camp in Adelaide
  • June 2018: Boot camp in Boston

For more details, please see the timeline below.

What's in it for startups?

Following a national application process, selected startups will participate in intensive, multi-day boot camps in Adelaide and Boston where startups will receive:
  • Tailored training and workshops
  • One-on-one mentorship from top local and international experts
  • Support in scaling their business to global markets
  • Networking opportunities
  • Unique access to the cities’ business ecosystems
The top 15 applicants will attend the Adelaide boot camp, to be held from 4 – 7 December 2017, which will culminate in a pitch competition. The top 5 teams will win a trip to Boston, USA, and participate in a week-long boot camp at the MassChallenge headquarters in June 2018.

Applications now closed

Applications for Bridge to MassChallenge Australia are now closed. Check back in November for the announcement of the top 15 startups!
